چکیده:
Transmission of diseases from one person to another due to coughing by emission of droplets that carrying viruses and bacteria in office room with two people is studied. A computational model for simulating the airflow, the thermal and the humidity condition in room is developed and the distributions of evaporating droplet in the office were studied. The k turbulence model was used for continuous fluid phase calculations and the trajectories of the evaporating droplets were evaluated with a Lagrangian method. The particle equation of motion included the viscous drag, the Brownian, the Saffman lift and the gravity forces. Mixing air distribution system was considered and trajectories of particles with size of 50 and 100 microns were simulated. The simulation results suggested that the droplet temperature reaches to wetbulb temperature in less than a second. In addition, dispersion of droplets increases when the effect of evaporation is included.
