چکیده:

numerical model based on linear theory considering wave damping due to viscosity is developed to calculate the wave characteristics in the near shore region. The accuracy of the model is verified by comparing numerical results with the field measurements collected by Coastal Engineering Research Center at Duck, North Carolina.
