چکیده:

Many numerical methods such finite element simulations of applied engineering systems are commonly used and can require longtermand costly computations to obtain a complete analysis. So, it is interesting and original to build analytical tools to estimate thestress distributions. In this work, a very simple analytical model based on the concepts of contact mechanics is presented for analysisof impact on a flat surface. As an example the impact of a spherical intender on a flat surface is studied by this method.
